Embracing Fall

Okay, okay... I guess I will face the fact that Fall is upon us and start reaching for some of my favorite new warmer toned items. The top of my list -- this amazing forest green vest from Target. I've developed a love for vests in the past year so that was the first thing that caught my eye about this cutie. The military style and fun zipper sealed the deal.

I'm ready for a day at work!

What are some of your 'transition to Fall' items?

Lace dress -- old, Marshalls. | Vest -- $24.99, Target. | Heels -- old, Target.| Clutch -- Nordstrom-- Rebecca Minkoff.

Summers End?

I was on a roll with twice a week posts until the stress of a new job came full force! Which means summer is officially over. This new California girl has yet to really believe that summer is actually coming to an end. Don't get me wrong, I do love Fall wardrobe, I adore Christmas and there is something extra special about those first warm days of spring. But summer... we go deeper. It's a real connection. And I am not ready to see her leave {insert pouty face here}

Since the weather stays reminiscent of summer a while longer out west I don't have to pack up the flip flops and shorts just yet -- well actually, lets be real, my flip flops might stay out all year round now!

If you are on Pinterest you know there are no shortage of Chambray outfits flooding the Women's Fashion page so if you don't yet own one I have to ask, what ya waiting on girl!?

I pair my chambray button up with just about everything and it is the perfect Fall accessory for those chilly evenings so I end up throwing it on a ton. And as you will see in a bunch of upcoming posts -- it helps translate a ton of summer outfits right into Fall.
Chambray button-up -- $40.00, American Eagle. | White Pants -- Old Navy Rockstar Skinnies. | Fedora -- Beach boutique. | Clutch -- Rebecca Minkoff Minimac. | Flip flops -- $10.00, LC Lauren Conrad Kohls.

Don't forget to follow my blog over at BlogLovin' so you don't miss out on some upcoming Fall goodies!

And don't forget to shop my Stella & Dot Trunk Show which ends at the end of this week!!

Stella & Dot Trunk Show

Happy Tuesday! Tuesdays have quickly turned into one of my favorite week days. Reason one, Pretty Little Liars comes on {do you watch?! If so, ya'll ladies know exactly what I'm talkin' about!} and reason two, my new town has a weekly Street Fair with food trucks, $1 tacos, amazing desserts, live music and homemade goodies. Considering its a quick walk from our place you can find us there every Tuesday.

This Tuesday in particular is also special because I get to share with you all about my recent trunk show with Stella & Dot! I am sure Stella & Dot is very familiar to you all -- and although I wish I could have personally invited you all over to my apartment for a night of wine, cheese and jewelry talk, that just wasn't possible so a blog post is the next best thing.

You can still shop my Truck Show by clicking here! It is open until the end of August which is plenty of time to look around and see if you are interested -- after all Fall is just around the corner!

The new Fall collection is gorgeous and half of the line is under $50 so it's really affordable. I'd love to know what you think about the line! So if you end up with a piece link your blog post in a comment below or tag me on instagram @xochristinemarie so both myself and my Stella & Dot stylist, Mari, can see what you chose!
For those who may not know about Stella & Dot, it is a boutique-style accessories company that sells beautiful (and versatile) jewelry, scarves, and totes at affordable prices (half the line is under $50!). The products are only available online or through Trunk Shows. Mari recently joined Stella & Dot as a Stylist and is loving the fun, flexible, and fashion forward business.
Mari also offers personal styling - if you have a question about a piece in her collection or need some help with picking out the right piece, she can help you out via Skype. Feel free to e-mail her at if you want to learn more about Stella & Dot and what it's like to become a Stylist for the company.

If you aren't 'a jewelry' person but looking to start a collection I couldn't think of a better way to do so than by skyping with a personal stylist for free! Plus, Mari is just about the cutest thing on the East Coast and you will instantly love her as much as I do. She has been a best friend of mine for years and wouldn't steer you wrong. Did I mention she won Best Dressed in my graduating class?! You're in good hands.

Here I chose some of my personal favorite pieces. I adore their silver and gold toned pieces but the pieces I have chosen are all under $100 and are full of color! I love color all year round but when it comes to my fall wardrobe I tend to wear a lot of neutrals and blacks. By adding a fall colored accessory I am able to add a fun pop of color that can be worn over, and over and over again!

Again, click here to shop the trunk show and stock up on some amazing Fall accessories!

Jungle Fever?

I bought these adorable shorts about 2 weeks back and I have probably worn them 15 times, is that possible? Well I have some how done it. The 'jungle fever' print is on a ton of items at ANGL right now -- maxis, tanks, pants, and these little cuties. Since summer lasts a little longer here in Cali I thought these would help my transition into Fall. Tank and sandals, boots and a jacket. Yup, I'll continue to wear these right into winter I think...

Jungle Shorts -- $21.95, ANGL. | Tank -- old, Express. | Cardigan --old, Marshalls. | Sandals -- $16.00, Target. | Sunnies -- $16.00, Target. | Necklace -- $20.00, LC by Lauren Conrad, Kohls. | Adorable puppy -- PRICELESS!

Don't forget to follow on BlogLovin' -- I will be posting about something exciting happening this weekend that I get to share with my lovely readers!

Aztec Day 4 Featuring Gypsea Heart

Today wraps up my Aztec themed outfits and I couldn't be any more excited about today's look featuring my Gypsea Heart 'Cape'.

Sponsorships and collaborations go hand-in-hand with blogging. But typically it's the companies reaching out to bloggers and vloggers around the world to promote their product/company. This collaboration is different. After months of lusting over her products, I reached out to a friend of mine dying to promote her amazing new company, Gypsea Heart. She must be pretty impressive then, huh?

If you keep up with xo Christine Marie you may remember my mentioning a time or two about growing up a Navy Brat, moving almost bi-yearly, and along the way meeting a ton of new friends. You may think it's sad moving every other year -- at times it was, but overall, nope -- you make so many friends and throughout the years, you get to keep so many friends {not to mention getting to live all over the world -- not too bad growing up with a Navy Officer and Hero as your father}

Well, the beautiful and talented Lauren is the one of those friends -- ironically enough we both followed our hearts to sunny So Cal -- and Lauren is the designer behind Gypsea Heart. Like I previously mentioned, I had been lusting over Lauren's hand drawn iPhone cases, laptop decor, and necklace pendents {which you can see on her instagram @gypsea_heart} But when she started sewing clothes I knew I had to get my hands on them!

I contacted Lauren about making a kimono style cardigan -- since I can't seem to get enough of them, perfect for a breezing beach day or bathing suit cover up -- and Lauren delivered with this gorgeous 'Gypsea Cape'. Are you as in love as I am? I'm obsessed with the print, the quality, and the fun vibrant colors. The best part? 100% unique, 100% handmade, 100% xo Christine Marie ;)

{keep reading to see how to contact Lauren and peak at some of her other designs}
Gypsea Heart Cape | White shorts -- $20.00, clearance Marshalls. | Necklace -- $20.00, LC by Lauren Conrad, Kohls.
Want to get your hands on a one of a kind Gypsea Cape? Lauren hand sews each and every custom made Gypsea Heart item. Below you will find Lauren modeling her Gypsea Capes and pants, as well as one of her menswear designs. I still can't believe how detailed and beautiful her drawings are, I mean could this girl be anymore talented?!
Take a peak at some of Lauren's other custom pieces.
To order your own Gypsea Heart pieces email Lauren at, tell her Christine sent ya ;) Currently Lauren is working on numerous pieces and since they are all custom handmade orders she is currently booked until September. But right in time for Fall and completely worth the wait!

If you end up with a Gypsea Heart piece post a picture on instagram and tag @xochristinemarie and @gypsea_heart!! Can't wait to see them!
