Fall Maxi

Cali girls, I have some really exciting news. Today marks the last day of our heatwave! Thats right, no more 80 degree November weather. Next week marks the beginning of low 70s and 60s! Which for California means most natives will be bundled up in scarfs and boots, which makes this East Coast gal giggle, but hey I will take it! Most would love the idea of an endless summer, but when it becomes your reality we itch for a break from the heat and a hint of cooler weather. Grass is always greener right?

If you have been following along then you know I am a sucker for a summer fedora or panama hat. I think I may own 5, which when you take a look at them and can barely see a difference, is certainly a bit excessive. But I just can't say no!

Although it may still feel like beach weather, the panama straw hats sadly have to wait in the closet 'til next year.  So whats the next best thing? To make my love for hats Fall appropriate. When it comes to my favorite accessory it's only right I pair it with some of my favorite clothes. This skirt...ah this skirt. When I first laid eyes on it I had one of those moments. You know, those moments when the clouds part ways and it appears like heaven shines down light directly on that item. Yup, one of those. I was in love. I had a few summer events it made its appearance but now that maxi season has passed I needed to find a way to make this Fall appropriate. Thanks to the warmer tones and a Fall accessory it made for a possible transition.

Now to take a step off the beach and enjoy these low temps next week....

Skirt -- Cynthia Rowley. | Top -- American Apparel. | Hat -- Small Boutique LF in Laguna Beach. | Necklace -- Lauren Conrad.

Thanks for reading along! Make sure to step back every weekend for new Fall looks!

  1. That maxi skirt is amazing! Endless summer does sound amazing but there's nothing better than fall fashion! Can't wait to see your looks!
