Fashion Island Disney Christmas Tree Lighting

If y'all have read my past Christmas posts then you know this gal right here is Christmas Crazy. I absolutely adore all things Christmas -- the decor, the clothes, the scents, the events, the music and I love more than anything the extra acceptance of proclaiming your love for Jesus this time of year. I want nothing more than to get dressed in reds and sequins, listen to Christmas music while enjoying a sip of Champagne, heading out with family and friends and then ending the night with a Christmas movie and snuggles on the couch.

Although, I have a strict 'no Christmas tree until after Thanksgiving' rule {which I actually broke last year, real strict huh?} I am sticking to my guns this year. Growing up it was always a tradition to eat Thanksgiving dinner and then run to the attic and begin dragging all the Christmas boxes down. However, this will be the first Thanksgiving in 26 years that I, unfortunately, won't be spending with my family, which I still don't think has sunk in. I am a gal all about tradition and family time so I just may wake up Thanksgiving morning to run and put on the Macy's Thanksgiving parade and it will  hit me when my mom and dad aren't sitting on the couch next to me. So to keep from sobbing the holiday away my honey and I decided to come up with our own tradition this year{which I will share later}.  Heck lets be real, to keep myself from sobbing. I think he'll be okay considering he has spent the last 4 Thanksgivings with my family and not to mention one away in Afghanistan.

Since I have promised to wait until Thanksgiving night to decorate our own tree it doesn't mean I can't enjoy the beauties already decorated around town. This year I was lucky enough to be invited to Fashion Island's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting & Disney Show and I jumped at the opportunity to attend!
I threw on a festive get-up, drank pomegranate mimosas, enjoyed delicious appetizers and desserts, watched the amazing Disney performances and dancing under the 'Snow' that fell later that night. Oh, and watched the ginormaous and gorgeous tree light up for the 2014 Christmas season. What a way to kick off the holiday.

Although I am still posting my favorite Fall looks here is a sneak peak at what to expect from my holiday ensembles this year. If you are in the Orange County area I highly suggest marking next years calendar for this fun event {hint, this is will be one of our new traditions!}
